Today 12 members of ACM awoke in the early hours of the morning to participate in the ACM ICPC 2011. While there, they spent 5 hours attempting to solve 10 computer science programs in teams of 3. We’re still waiting on the official results, so look for those soon! In the meantime, here are some photos that members took of the EPIC campus
For the upcomming ICPC, teams requested a review of the different algorithms in computing. Dr. Urbain was gracious enough to give a quick overview of what teams needed to know. You can view the video below.

Join ACM at MSOE’s Discovery Days! Enthusiastic high school students from the around the Milwaukee area are spendign the day at MSOE to learn about all the majors MSOE has to offer. ACM will be using RoboCode (along with a custom GUI) representing the 2nd best major, Software Engineering!
In a once in a lifetime event, the ACM and ISA are teaming up to help save lives! From Feb. 7 to the 13th we’re collecting food to help support the Riverwest Food Pantry! We’re deploying collection boxes all over campus, so there’s no excuse not to help! You’ll find the boxes conveniently located at places where you go every day, such as the RWJ, CC, Library, and Kern Center. All we ask is that on your next trip to Metro Mart or Pick ‘N Save to pickup a few extra cans of food and drop them in the box. As a reward, you’ll receive a good fuzzy feeling that you helped someone in need!
Remember, not all people can enjoy the delicious cafeteria food. Give them the next best option of canned food!
Welcome to the new ACM Website! Hopefully we’ll keep this one up to date and stop it from getting spammy like the one before it. If you have any ideas for suggestions, just leave them in the comments!
